It is used to treat vareity of diseases, it enters into human body and it delivers drugs at specific location and perform precise operations like clearing clogged up arteries. They can remotely control the robots mobility with electromagnetic field and cause them to change the shape and when it is heated , it shifts from one place to another.
This microrobots looks and moves like a bacterium. Unlike conventional robots , these microrobots are soft, flexible and motor less. They are made up of biocompatible hydrogel and magnetic nano particles. This nano particles perform two functions: 1. They give shape to the microrobots during manufacturing. 2. They can move and swim when electromagnetic field is applied.
At first , it is placed inside the layers of a compatible hydro gel ,then electromagnetic field is applied followed by polymerisation step to solidify the hodrogel ,then it is placed in water, overall 3d architecture of the microrobots is formed. It can swim and reach the destiny , when it is heated ,it changes the shape and unfolds the shape.
The bacterium that causes African trypanosomiasis , that uses flagella for its locomotion. This microrobots imitates this bacterium, it moves inside the human body and adapt the changes in the microenvironment, the only thing should be noted is that it should not cause any side effects in patients.
