SOUTH CAROLINA directs Karnataka to release 6, 000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu till Friday

The request came three days after Karnataka's lawmaking body passed a determination saying the stream will be utilized just to meet the drinking water needs of towns and towns in the Cauvery Basin and Bengaluru.

The resolutions, be that as it may, did not say the top court's request guiding the state to discharge 6,000 cusecs consistently (cubic feet every second) of water to Tamil Nadu till September 27.
