Less than 100 students of all those who passed their Class XII exams of the Tamil Nadu State Board system and took the JEE will study in IIT this year. This year JEE results were announced on June 12, out of 4,174 students 651 students qualified. In IIT madras zone 6,702 were qualified out of 33,000. Overall from tamilnadu, 555 students are from CBSE and 60 from state board.The difference between Cbse and state board is not only the syllabus. More cbse students are qualified because of coaching. The state board syllabus is 12 years old ,which is need to be changed.
