Anna university exams cancelled

*Due to heavy rain forecast in Tamilnadu, the End semester Examinations (Nov-Dec 2016), of all Anna University affiliated colleges scheduled to be held on 02.12.2016 has been postponed to 23.12.2016 .

Anna university exam postponed

It is informed that Theory Examinations for certain dates of Nov/Dec 2016 and Jan 2017 Examination of Anna university pertaining to all Affiliated colleges  for the UG and PG degrees Programmes are postponed on (01:12:16)due to heavy rain.. The rescheduled dates announced later.

Flood alerts in Uttar Pradesh....

A flood alert has been issued in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, in view of heavy rains for the last two days.

All major rivers are in spate and have inundated large swathes of land.

As Sharda and Ghaghra rivers crossed danger mark in Lakhimpur Kheri and Barabanki, the flood threat looms large over several other districts.

As per reports, as many as 11 people have lost their lives in accidents caused by rain in different parts of the state, in the last two days.

The flood posts established to help the affected people have started working in various districts including Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Khiri, Basti and Bahraich.

The water of the bulging Ganga has entered into Rasulpur village of Amroha. The district administration has sounded flood alert for twelve more villages.

In Kushinagar, river Budhi Gandak is in spate due to water released from Valmikinagar barrage and continuous rain in upper reaches of Nepal.

Though still below danger mark, river Ganga is rising in Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi flooding low lying areas.

Swathi's murderer Ram Kumar arrested from Tirunelveli...

Infosys techie saathu was murdered last week at nungambakkam railway station.....It was very challenging for the police to identify the murderer as there was no CCTV camera in that railway station and the police got only a blurred image of the suspect

As there were heavy pressure from the people and the media to determine the culprit the police have arrested the murderer named Ram Kumar from Tirunelveli....

The reason behind the murder is still not found.The police took up this challenging task and stuff the doors of the case.Meanwhile the murderer is said to be from sengotai.....

Hearty congrats to the Tamil nadu police to once again.....

AU Engineering counselling begins today

      The month-long counselling for general category candidates under single window system for admission to 524 engineering colleges affiliated to the Anna University will begin on Monday.
     Over 1.27 lakh candidates are expected to participate in the counselling. Counselling for general candidates will end on July 21 and for vocational candidates it will be held on July 23 and 24.
