ELECTRONIC TATTOO CAN MONITOR MUSCLE ACTIVITY

The Electronic tattoo is a temporary tattoo could make it easier to monitor muscle activity. Researchers have developed a thin, flexible electrode that can measure electric signals on the skin after being applied like a temporary tattoo. Yael Hanein, an associate professor of electrical engineering at Tel Aviv University in Israel developed this electronic tattoo device. The electronic tattoos have a variety of applications, could study neurodegenerative disease and control prostheses. Hanein added that her lab is already exploring potential ways could be used for psychological evaluations and as a diagnostic tool for Parkinson's disease. The electronic tattoo is made up of three parts: a carbon electrode, an adhesive surfaces that fastens the tattoo to the skin and a polymer coating that conducts electricity. By this electronic tattoo, it is easy to study about the muscle activities and diseases in the muscles.
