Amid heavy date shuffles due to demonetisation, Suriya’s Singam 3 is also feeling the heat. Now the date of its worldwide release has been officially postponed from December 16 to December 23.
The filmmakers say that Singam 3 or S3 will be released in Tamil and Telugu (as Yamudu 3) as a Christmas treat for its audience.

According to industry buzz, Karthi had requested Singam 3 producer K E Gnanavel Raja to defer its release in order to ensure his brother’s film gets a grand opening.
The movie is also touted to be filled with some never seen before action and stunts. The theatrical rights of the film were also clinched at a record price in Tamil Nadu. The deal is touted to be a new benchmark in Kollywood. According to sources, the sale of the film’s theatrical rights has generated a record Rs 42 crore.
Keeping up with the legacy of the series, Singam 3 features Tamil superstar Suriya playing the hot-headed cop one more time. Under the direction of Hari, S3 also features Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan as female leads. Harris Jayaraj has also been roped in for composing the music. Singam 3 is being bankrolled by Studio Green 2.
