Ritika gives up boxing for acting.Ritual Singh, the picture-perfect Punjabi kudi who was a professional boxer before she turned actress, is said to have given up her profession in the boxing ring to pursue her profession in the entertainment industry.Film industry is a fantasy world and there are more stores if desperation than success stories as not all the talented and the deserving persons get to make it to the top in their chosen sphere of interest. The actress, though she is aware of it, is said to have given up her passion of boxing to continue as an actress in films.She debuted in films with the super-duper hit film Irudhi Suttru which released in Tamil and Hindi early this year. Thanks to her boxer’s backdrop, she did very well and even did an exemplary job of emoting as an actress. She later got to pair up opposite Vijay Sethupathi in Aandavan Kattalai which met with reasonable success at the box-office.She now has Raghava Lawrence’s next film and the Telugu version of Irudhi Suttru on her hands. Ritika is said to have told her close circle of friends and relatives that she has decided to give up boxing as a career as there are chances of getting hurt in the ring. An injury on the face may not help her cause as an actress and this has forced Singh to pursue her career only as an actress and to give up boxing forever!
