Mine craft to study Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Now Microsoft is using a popular world building game to built and test the artificial intelligence in the fictional environment.Microsoft made a platform of artificial intelligence research using a modified version of Minecraft which will be available to the public followed by a limited release to select researchers.Project AIX otherwise known as Project Malmo allows anyone from amateur coder to advance computer scientist so that they can built and test artificial intelligence in this environment. Project Malmo is not designed to built AI which solves the problem . Instead of that the research team believes that these tools will be used to develop artificial intelligence that's capable of planning, reasoning and learning. Minecraft is just an open ended nature makes it particularly appealing for Artificial Intelligence experimentation. In general Minecraft game players are free to move about and interact with the world and build manner of unusual creations block by block. The new project places a machine in control of the blocky avatar in same open world with challenges similar to what humans may encounter in real world. The Artificial Intelligence will have to learn all basics of this Minecraft such as navigation, object interaction and creation but the complexity is that the infinite variety of human in game play. Thus the new version also supports for chat interaction with AI player and as well as the ability to speed up the game. The project Malmo will run on Mac OS and Linux and Windows.
