Dropbox been hacked

Dropbox has been found in 2007, it's a file hosting service which allows the user to create a special folder and then it's synchronize so that it seems to be a single folder with the same contents that can be accessible via Dropbox website and mobile apps. Dropbox has been hacked with 68m users email address and password. This took place in 2012. Dropbox reported that the users email address is only stolen but it hidden that the password is also stolen. Dropbox sent notification last week to all of its users since 2012. It has 100m customer at a time. Dropbox practised data security and upgrading encryption from SHAI to more secured standard called bcrypt. The hack highlight needs for tight security both at the user end use of strong password, two step authentication and no reuse of password . Even with solid encryption for user password, Dropbox fell foul of password reuse. It was said by the leading security expert to make use of the password manager to secure unique and complex password. But recent attacks in browser maker OPERA that stores and syncs user password and password manager OneLogin have been exposed the danger. A Dropbox spokesperson said that there is no indication that their user accounts have been improperly accessed. Their analysis confirmed that the credentials are user email and password that were obtained prior to mid 2012. They confirmed that the scope of pass reset completed last week protect all impacted users.
