The Border Security Force (BSF) has wiped out the "Retreat" service at the Attari-Wagah fringe joint registration (JCP) at Attari, 30 km from Amritsar, authorities said on Thursday.
The BSF and area powers have asked guests and vacationers not to move towards Attari for the service on Thursday. It is not clear when the function will continue.
The Retreat service is done by fringe gatekeepers of India and Pakistan, the BSF and Pakistan Rangers, at the Attari-Wagah JCP at nightfall each night.
The 30-minute service is viewed by hundreds from both nations day by day.
