Apple co-founders Steve jobs and Steve Wozniak built Prototype Apple 1 in 1976. Not more than 70 Apple 1 computers are in existence still. It was initially named as Apple Computer 1 which went on sale on July 1976. But it was discontinued on the same year in the month of October as the company was in the idea to build the Apple 2. The first sale of Apple 1 went $666.66. Out of 200 computers 175 were sold. This model came to the auction this week contains tell-tale signs which is a prototype probably made prior to its manufacturing run. The celebration edition of Apple 1 was expected to make $1 but it was went for $815,000. This means that it is not the highest grossing Apple 1 computer that distinction belongs to a rare working version that sold for $905,000 in October 2014.
