The Apple TV is actually a good set-top box for streaming services, or mirroring the iPads display into the large screens. But having to actually plug into your Netflix password (or searching for shows). Apple has finally fixed all that by releasing Apple TV App, is basically a software version of the Apple TV's tiny remote control. There is a large button on the top for gesture control making it easy to navigate and the game mode makes use of the accelerometer and gyroscope built in Apple mobile devices. Similarly the Apple's forth coming software update offers dark mode option. This iPhone remote app is a full fledged replacement for the remote that comes with the Apple TV . This lets the user to control the TV with the touch gestures and use iPhone's keyboard to enter email, passwords, play pause ,rewind and so on. The app is Not perfect though. We can use Siri to control the TV from your phone but only by opening this app pressing the microphone button and then talking to Siri. That's not really the perfect future that's promised but it will be fixed in the upcoming software updates. It's to pointed that the Apple is not the only company to use mobile app as the remote for Smart TV even Panasonic used a TV remote app five years ago. This app can be downloaded from the App Store for free and it will work on any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 9.3.2 . The only thing is that it's not optimized for the iPads largest screen. The old remote application known as iTunes Remote is still available and works with older Apple TV models.
