NASA'S JUNO SPACECRAFT was launched on August 5,2011 from Cape Canaveral Air force station. It is scheduled to slide into the orbit of Jupiter on Monday(4th July). Its mission is to find about Jupiter's composition, Magnetic field, Gravity field, Polar magnetosphere, how the planet is formed whether it has a rocky core and water present in the deep atmosphere.
It captures the photos of Jupiter and its four biggest moons last week. Total mission duration is 6 years,and it weighs about 3,625kg. It is the most distant travelled solar powered spacecraft from Earth.
