CO-BOTS IN FORD

Robots were considered as the opposition to the human workers. But now a days more and more companies are introducing programs for people and robots to work together as colleagues. Ford introduced this co-bots in its Factory.
Human workers play a major role , they will be careful, they will adopt according to the situation. But humans are not strong enough and get tired often.
The work of the cobots is to fix the shock absorbers, this is considered as the hardest job in automotive factories. This comes under 4.0 project , fourth industrial revolution.
It is just little more than 3 feet(~91.5cm). It could manipulate and install a heavy shock absorber, because it needs accuracy, strong and dexterity (cleverness).
Another important point to be noted is safety of humans when they work with the robots. They are designed with high tech sensors detection, when the workers are in the way of their movement ,robots stop working when they are about to hurt the workers. Ford company are also making robots for coffee making and shaking hands.
