Atlast FREEDOM came

Freedom 251 is a smartphone that is initially offered for a sale in India at the price of Rs. 251 ($3.67) . Its being sold by the Ringing Bells Private Limited and it's marketed as the world's cheapest smartphone. Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) MP Kirit somaiya has filed a complaint which lead to an FIR registered against Ringing Bells Director Mohit Goel and president Ashok Chaddha under section 420 of IPC stating that the phone is bogus and it's promotion is a Ponzi scam. It's promotional price was offered only for a limited period to online booking between 18-21 February. As it said like this there was huge competition in booking. Since the traffic was high the network crashed on its very first day. Actually the company planned to all 5 million phones due to the crash it has taken only 30000 orders but the company
says by the time of closing time it has taken bookings worth Rs. 17.5 million. There are lot of controversy about this such that the realistically the mobiles can't be sold at this cheaper price according to the ICA, even with the subsidized sale the selling price should not be less than Rs.35000.B it a price of 251 is possible only through the advertising partners. Such deals are possible once a very large number of handset were in use. On 20 th February 2016, the office of Ringing bell was raided by the government officials to investigate why this product does not have Bureau of Indian Standards certifications. Some said that the phone is looking like a China phone where the originality is covered by a whitener. The ultimate thing was that the people who ordered did not received a confirmation mail too. The telecom ministry after conducting an internal assessment on phone found that it could not be offered for less than 2300-2400. Beyond all this Goel said that the company will initiate the delivery from today for 20000 more smartphones. 233 phones will be going to the customer in Delhi And 364 to Punjab and 108 to J&K and 194 to Madhya Pradesh and 225 in Jharkhand and 365 to Rajasthan. The balance 760 mobiles will be delivered to UP on july 11. The freedom 251 smartphone buyers will have to shell out Rs. 291 including 40 as delivery charge. They said that they have more than 200 distributors and it assembling, packaging are completely made in India . Simply to be said it's a complete Made in India product said the official.
